Working with nature to create productive spaces, promote urban greening and making green space accessible to all.
Inspired by nature, I aim to make landscapes that highlight natural patterns of growth, free movement of self seeding plants that regenerate urban nature with minimal inputs.
A forest garden in Peckham designed over eight years shows how a balance of intervention and laxity allows for vigorous specimens to find their place, encouraging success in spaces without infrastructure for irrigation and intensive maintenance.
They overspill their boundaries, spreading wind and bird born seed around the neighbourhood, journeying beyond the garden filling crevices and gaps with interest, life and colour.
These gardens change dramatically over times as species blow in and out and successional planting greens challenging soils, provide habitat and forage for humans and wild species.
