A tangle of forest in a welsh valley, with green moss and bare branches of winter

Fascination with plants and how they grow has led me on many explorations across the UK and beyond, seeing how they flourish in a multitude of locations from arid upland deserts, tropical forests, chalk downlands and mossy Welsh valleys.

Eclectic and creative, I have specific expertise and interest in planting design, and have over 25 years broad ranging experience designing, building, planting and managing gardens and community projects as well as working with architects and designers to deliver high quality planting schemes in the public and private realm.

I’m interested in connecting people to plants and nature; through good design, collaborative design processes and hands on learning. Encouraging observation of the natural world helps us understand natural patterns, giving people tools to develop, maintain and understand their own sites.

With a background in fine art and horticulture, I’ve developed a diverse skill set that supports the development of beautiful, ecological and resilient projects that provide inspiration for people from all backgrounds.
